Reforming Level 3 Foundation Art and Design

We will be reforming our Level 3 Foundation Art and Design qualification to ensure that it remains fit-for-purpose, up-to-date and reflects current good practice in qualification and assessment design.

Our Level 3 Foundation Art and Design qualification is aimed at post-18 learners in FE colleges. It provides learners with a thorough and comprehensive experience of art, craft, design and media underpinned by analytical principles, exploratory and investigative practices, contextual research and material experiences and supports progression to higher education and/or training.

Scoping workshops

The reform of this qualification will not happen in isolation.  We want to hear from anyone with an interest in the reform of Level 3 Foundation Art and Design.  This includes teachers, learners, parents, carers, learning providers, agencies, and employers.

We are holding a scoping workshop to gather your views on the qualification and proposals for reform. We aim to run the workshop for an hour but have allowed extra time so not to stifle discussion. It will take place on November 13th 2024.

If you would like to attend the above workshop, please email qualificationdevelopment@wjec.co.uk
