Join our Specification Development team

We are recruiting a team of innovative writers and reviewers, central to the development of a new suite of GCSEs and related qualifications for 14–16-year-olds to support the Curriculum for Wales. Our approach will ensure the new qualifications are inclusive, engaging, support the curriculum, and are fit for the future.

In this role you will be expected to undertake some or all of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Inform our initial interpretation of the Approval Criteria by advising on the proposed qualification outline, including the qualification structure and approaches to assessment.</li>\n<li>Test our vision, by being a critical but supportive friend to ensure that the qualification will meet regulatory requirements, stakeholder expectations and support the Curriculum for Wales.</li>\n<li>Contribute with a solutions mindset.</li>\n<li>Advise on specific aspects of qualification content and assessment approaches at key stages throughout the development process.</li>\n<li>Identify potential need for additional/new resources to support teaching and learning.</li>\n</ul>\nOur collaborative approach will ensure the new qualifications are inclusive, engaging, support the curriculum, and are fit for the future.\nWe will establish a Qualification Development Advisory Group for each qualification, and we are looking for members to advise, inform and challenge us as we move through the qualification development process.\nQualifications Wales will provide us with Approval Criteria which will prescribe the high-level content and assessment approach; we will then develop the detailed qualification specification and sample assessment material. "},{"accordionTitle":"How to apply","accordionTitleSecondary":null,"accordionImage":"","accordionContent":"Register your interest in joining our Qualification Development Advisory Groups by completing this <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https://forms.office.com/e/EydXRzfXqy\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Join our qualification development advisory group\">form</a>.\nClosing date for expressions of interest: 20th September 2024."}]}
