Made-for-Wales GCSEs - Professional Learning

In support of our new suite of Made-for-Wales GCSEs and related qualifications, we are pleased to announce our new schedule of free, professional learning opportunities. These nationwide courses will be delivered by our Subject Advisers for the first raft of qualifications, where teaching will begin from September 2025.

Head teachers across Wales, in partnership with their Local Authority, have agreed to INSET closure days so that as many subject teachers as possible may attend these events. This unprecedented Pan Wales plan will see schools within clusters of Local Authorities and CYDAG affiliated schools close for INSET delivered by WJEC on a designated day between February and April 2025.
