Proposed exam timetables summer 2026 – please tell us your views

JCQ awarding organisations have worked together to draft the provisional exam timetables for summer 2026, which are shown below.  Please note the following:

  • We have proposed that in summer 2026 there will be only one contingency day in the timetable, for use in the case of unforeseen local/national events.  The contingency half days, which have been a feature of timetables in 2024 and 2025, have been removed.
  • We have worked hard to try and make sure that the proposed timetable has as few clashes as possible.  It is extremely difficult to eliminate clashes altogether and we would appreciate your understanding on this point.


Please review the proposed timetables within your school or college and send any feedback to timetable@wjec.co.uk  by 5pm Friday 21st March 2025.


Your feedback will be considered and the final 2026 exam timetables will be published in April 2025.  JCQ awarding organisations will also publish a joint summary of all the feedback we received and of any changes made.
