WJEC awarded We invest in people silver accreditation

WJEC is delighted to announce that following our We invest in people, standard accreditation in 2021 we have progressed to achieve silver accreditation.

As Wales’ largest awarding body, WJEC provide trusted qualifications and specialist support to our education communities across the UK. We are committed to building on our strong people foundations for the future, to allow our learners the opportunity to reach their full potential.

As an organisation, we are continuously looking for ways to improve and want to ensure we have the right principles and practices in place. We want our people to feel valued and part of an organisation where they can grow and develop.

Globally, 22% of organisations have achieved this standard, therefore, WJEC has joined an elite group of organisations who are making active efforts to embed consistent practices that impacts positively across their business.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said:

We’d like to congratulate WJEC CBAC Ltd. Silver accreditation on We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places WJEC in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.

Commenting on the award, Elizabeth East, Senior HR Business Partner said:

“This is a great achievement for WJEC, and I was delighted that our assessment results indicated our people have a high level of passion for our purpose.  It’s fantastic to be externally recognised and to be part of an organisation that truly wants to make positive change!”

WJEC hopes our progression through the Investors in People framework will help us improve performance and realise our objectives through the management and development of our people.
