Today candidates receive their 2022 GCSE and Welsh Baccalaureate results
Today, students across Wales will receive their GCSE, Level 1/2 and National/Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate qualification results.
Wales GCSE results
- 97.3% of students in Wales achieved A* - G
- 25.1% of students achieved A* - A
- 68.6% of students achieved grades A* - C
National/Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate
- 97.0% of students achieved the National/Foundation Skills Challenge Certificate
- 91.3% of candidates passed the National/Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate
Ian Morgan, Chief Executive, WJEC commented: “Today we recognise the achievements of thousands of learners across the country. The qualifications they collect today reflect their years of studying, but also the support and guidance provided by their teachers, lecturers, families and friends.
'These results mark the beginning of their journey into a range of different paths, including further education or employment, whatever their choice, I wish them the very best in their endeavours.”
