Course content and structure

The new qualification supports learners to become effective, responsible and active citizens, equipping them with the skills for future study or to enter the job market.

It has been designed for learners aged 16-19, and can be taken alongside other Level 3 qualifications, including A level. Learners will take part in a variety of exciting activities and context, through which they will develop and apply the four Integral skills (Planning and Organisation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Creativity and Innovation) and three  Embedded skills (Digital Competence, Literacy and Numeracy).

The assessment of the two-year course is made up of three projects:

  1. Global Community Project – where learners will investigate a global issue and share their knowledge with others and take part in a community action.
  2. Future Destination Project – where learners will explore future employment and wellbeing goals.
  3. Individual Project – here a learner will plan, manage and research a topic linked to their future education or career aspiration, and create a written dissertation or artefact.
