Made-for-Wales wave 2 qualification outlines and consultation report now available
We are pleased to have published our final qualification outlines for our wave 2 qualifications. These qualifications will be available for first teaching from September 2026.
Commenting on this milestone, Delyth Jones, Assistant Director, Qualification Development: “The publication of the qualification outlines is an important step in the development of these new qualifications as these provide the basis for the development of our specifications. Our Qualification Development Team and I are extremely grateful to the more than 300 respondents who took the time to offer constructive feedback to our consultations.
Over the coming months, our teams will continue to work with our stakeholders to produce an exciting new suite of qualifications which will help support the ambitions of the Curriculum for Wales and offer new and exciting learning opportunities for learners across Wales.”
In addition to the qualification outlines, we have also published a consultation report which outlines the actions we have taken, based on the outcomes of the consultations.
