Help shape our new qualification offer for 14-16 year olds
As part of Qualifications Wales’ National 14-16 Qualifications offer, WJEC will be developing VCSEs (Vocational Certificate of Secondary Education) and Work-related Foundation qualifications. We are also developing General Foundation qualifications in a range of subjects.
We have developed a survey to inform the development of these qualifications. You can access the survey via the following link.
Please note, the survey will close on March 10.
The purpose of this survey is to gather educators' views on current qualifications other than GCSEs for 14–16-year-olds to help shape our new qualification offer from 2027, ensuring it supports and reflects the Curriculum for Wales and its Four Purposes.
We are looking for the views of educators that teach in the following areas:

Built Environment | Entry Level Design and Technology |
Business, Accounting and Finance | Entry Level Digital Technology |
Creative and Media Production, and Technology | Entry Level English |

Hospitality and Catering | Entry Level Humanities |
Performing Arts | Entry Level Mathematics and Numeracy |
Public Services | Entry Level Science |

Please note that we will also be developing Project and Skills Suite qualifications – however, we are not gathering view relating to those qualifications through this survey but will be seeking the views of stakeholders in due course.
