Enquiries About Results
NB Parents and students are advised that all requests for post-results services must be submitted through the relevant examination centre.
WJEC offers a range of post-results services relating to enquiries about results and access to examination scripts. Services include:
- Clerical re-check - a re-check of all clerical procedures leading to the issue of a result
- Post-results review of marking - a review of the original marking to ensure that the agreed mark scheme has been applied correctly
- Access to scripts – a photocopy of the original script, an electronic version of the script or the original script
- Post-results review of moderation
Please note, these services are available via examination centres only, so if you have any concerns about your examination results, please discuss with your centre.
For more information about WJEC services and applicable fees, please view our services document (correct as of June 2016).
Appealing Your Result
If you have any concerns about your examination results, please discuss with your centre. Your centre is responsible for submitting your request for a post-results service to WJEC on your behalf.
Private candidates (i.e. those not in full-time attendance at a WJEC centre at the time of sitting the examination) who have concerns about examination results should check details of available post-results services as outlined in the JCQ Post-Results Services booklet. Further information for private candidates can also be found in WJEC's Private Candidates booklet. Whilst awarding bodies will accept an application for an enquiry about results directly from a private candidate, the candidate also has the option of seeking an application through their centre in the first instance.
