Very specific rules apply with regard to candidates who arrive late for their examinations.
Any candidate who arrives after the start of an exam may be allowed to sit the exam entirely at the discretion of the centre.
Any candidate who arrives more than an hour after the published starting time for an exam (or 30mins after the published starting time for exams less than an hour long) will be considered a very late arrival. In this instance a full written report must be sent to WJEC on form VLA as soon as possible. The candidate should be warned that WJEC is unlikely to accept the work.
Candidates arriving after the examination has been completed must be recorded as absent.
More detailed information and instructions regarding late arrivals can be found in the JCQ booklet "Instructions for Conducting Examinations"
